A convenient way to make purchases and have the funds directly withdrawn from your checking account! No more writing checks. The debit card looks just like a credit card but you do not get a monthly statement for transactions. The VISA Debit Card is accepted worldwide wherever VISA is accepted. There is no annual fee to use this convenient product. There are two ways the card can be used: 1. as an ATM / Debit Card purchase, where you would swipe the card then enter your PIN number; 2. use similar to a credit card where you would swipe the card then sign for your purchase (you do not have the option of receiving cash back). There is no annual charge associated with the VISA Debit Card / ATM Card.
The card can also be used as an ATM card to get cash at hundreds of locations. All transactions performed at a Winnebago Community Credit Union owned ATM are free. There is a drive up ATM at the Witzel Branch and the Snell Branch as well as a stand alone ATM machine inside the Winnebago County Courthouse. Six (6) ATM transactions per month are free; there is a $.50 charge per ATM transaction thereafter within that same month (WCCU ATMs are exempt).

Please note that Winnebago Community Credit Union contracts with a company to monitor possible fraudulent transactions on your WCCU ATM / debit card. This company, on behalf of WCCU, may call you to verify ONLY ATM / debit card transactions by simply verifying the transaction amount and location that the card was used. You should never give out your card number or pin. The purpose of the verification is to determine whether the card has been used in a fraudulent manner and if it should be closed due to misuse. If you are unavailable, a message will be left asking you to return the call. If you get a message, the correct number to call is 1-866-508-2693. Please be aware that if you receive a call for any other reason or are asked to return the call to a different number, you may be a victim of fraud. Please call the credit union if this should happen.
